フランス・アルムナイ会長からの手紙

Dear friends AIESEC ALUMNI,

when our Founders started AIESEC 56 years ago, they expressed the vision of a world wide association of students, totally independent, therefore able to survive all political crisis among nations and dedicated to international understanding as an attitude inevitable essential for peace and for development.

They were a very small group, only some of them are still alive, and they still care their original vision, all the more that it has proved very very successful indeed.

In Paris, the vision has never died, and we, as a group of ALUMNI have kept alive the intergenerational flame.
We are aware that from the beginning the idea of a senior association was put forward.
Considering that the scale of values which united the graduate students could remain a positive link for professional adults bearing high responsibilities.
We observe that after an average of 5 years of graduate studies, forty to fifty years of diversified responsibilities represent an extraordinary task force to contribute to a better world.
We observe that by itself an alumni association has its own maturity beyond the valuable problems of students years.
Some of us have become experts in their professional field and take daily decisions that influence our world.
Because we worked, as students within AIESEC we share today a capital of common faith and a personal capital of trust and we face the problems of a real world of responsibilities with a sustainable attitude.
We do not want this capital to remain frozen and therefore, we registered a French National AIESEC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.

Our general assembly last month unanimously approved a motion asking our board to contact other national alumni associations (many exits BUT have no regular contact between each other.
The reason is that they are focused on the student association, which in a way, is an easy way out of many pending professional issues.

We offer you a direct contact with our national alumni association, this is a mature networking.
The student organisation delegated Svetlana, as an alumni coordinator, bright mind as she is, she described to us the organisational efforts of the student association to gather a general database of alumni.

It is a valuable effort and they collected so far roughly10% of the concerned population.
This could be a first contribution to a global alumni network which should have its own purpose.(obviously with cooperation with the student association) but independent .
This is a prerequisite for efficiency.
We are not representatives of a student association. We are the fathers we, year after year, built the name and its image.
We are father heirs, and collective owners of that image.
We made it success full in its particular field of education.

Today we certainly can extend it to the decision making of our economies (private and public sectors,) in the complexity of diversified fields.

We would like to open a red line contact with you, listen to your reaction, and gradually investigate fields of cooperation.
This is a free and true hand, an open door with the hope a reciprocal attitude before the birth of diversified projects and globally supported.

All the best to you,

Jean Choplin

AIESEC Report: What China's Future Leaders

AIESEC in Mainland of China launched this new report on 23rd October 2005 as part of AIESEC conference "Our World, Our China, Our Challenges" for the student members. Produced in a useful booklet format with interesting introductory articles as well as the results of a survey of student opinion on Sustainable Development and details of AIESEC's involvement in educating China's future leaders.

The report shows an insight into what China's future leaders think at the moment, and thus indicates what might lie in head for China's future. This report is free to download, and produced in co-operation with Sinomonitor International.

Power of Alumni

50230751_a817cac9fb_b.jpg
(From left, Baxtiyar, Jan Eliasson, and Brodie Boland)

Every AIESECer has one of those stories of when we, by surprise, met an AIESEC alumni. Usually it happens at just the best of times – a job interview, a networking event, or even during a visa application… Yesterday, at a large United Nations meeting with the majority of countries present as well as a host of NGOs, UN agencies, and other youth, I had one of these experiences. While introducing me to speak, the Chair of this meeting who happens to be the President of the 60th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, said before everyone, “I used to be in AIESEC!! I was Vice-President of AIESEC Sweden.” Later, Jan Eliasson told Baxtiyar (the youth representative for Azerbaijan who is starting AIESEC there) and I about how he raised fifty traineeships when he was in the LC, that he was LCP of AIESEC Goteburg, and then Vice-President of AIESEC Sweden before going on a traineeship to France! One great reminder of the power and reach of the AIESEC network.

AIESEC Alumni Conference in India

AIESEC in India’s Alumni Congress 2005
Twenty Five years of AIESEC in India will seek to come together through it’s first ever Alumni Congregation.
The AIESEC in India Alumni Congress 2005 will run parallel to AIESEC’s 57th Annual International Congress, and co-incide with the Congress’ Formal Banquet and Alumni Hall Of Fame Awards Ceremony.

Do You Want To ..
Plan a re-union with your EB/MC/LC? Meet with some of AIESEC in India’s most successful Alumni? Re-visit the world that was once your playground? Understand what is contributing to AIESEC in India’s success these days? Network to re-build connections, to uncover business opportunities or just to re-live memories? Be a part of AIESEC India’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations? Be part of the AIESEC’s 57th Annual International Congress, also the first ever in India?!

September 2005, WILL YOU BE THERE?

Q. What are the exact dates of the Alumni Congress?
The Congress is scheduled to take place in the first week of September 2005. The exact Dates, Venue & Delegate fees will be announced very shortly.

Q. What else can I expect at the Alumni Congress?

The Alumni Congress will be a celebration of the leadership that AIESEC in India has successfully continued to develop, over the past 25 years. Apart from constructing formal & informal spaces for AIESEC interaction, the forum will connect with real-world Leaders & Issues, in a context that is both relevant & exciting for AIESEC Alumni.

Q. How many people can you expect to meet?
Going by the feedback received & interest shown so far (also the number of re-unions planned, and calendars blocked!), we expect about 200 alumni, from across India, the USA, the UK & Asia.

Q. When was the last such Alumni initiative organised by AIESEC in India?
AIESEC in India hosted the International Alumni Congress in 1994, in Chennai. The 4-day event drew participation of over a hundred alumni.

Q. How can you help?
- You can help by circulating this note and spreading the word. - Registering as an alumni on AIESEC’s
Alumni portal (www.aiesec.net/alumni) - By mailing us (info@ic2005india.org) feedback and suggestions.

Invitation to AIESEC Alumni Congress in Sicily

Dear Alumni, dear friends
I’m excited to invite you to this years AAI congress to the beautiful island of Sicily to my own hometown Noto. There will of course be an interesting program, a wonderful study tour and great food and wine. But it won’t be fun without YOU! Therefore please come and help us make this year’s congress a truely international and successful event. For all the details, please check out the attachment. Since our database might not be entirely up to date, you would help us a lot by passing on this email to other ex-AIESECers. Could you also fax us your own updated details. (Membership form attached) We also wanted to inform you about our new membership fee structure, as voted during the Congress 2003 in London. The fee for “Full Membership” have been set at 50 Euro, as running an alumni association is an expensive thing, even though we’re able to cut back some costs through the use of e-mail, and the reduction of travels costs, there are some fixed costs like office rent and bank expenses. However according to former decisions taken to extend the membership we left a “Light Membership” free of charges: Full Membership ( fee 50 Euros): - You’ll receive all the information (directory of addresses included) in electronic format (if you desire to have a paper copy of mailings and directory please contact us). - Invitation to the Congress - Full voting rights. Light Membership (free of charges): - You’ll receive all the information but not the Directory of addresses - Invitation to the Congresses. Of course any type of donations will be gladly accepted. To make a donation you may use the same form as for membership payment.

We hope to hear from you soon, Giovanni Cugno, President AAI 2004

第1回アシア・パシフィック・アルムナイ会議

Dear AIESEC Alumni member,

It is with great pleasure that AIESEC Alumni of Singapore andAIESEC Alumni Asia-Pacific Congress (AAAPC) 2004 Committee welcome our alumni friends to Singapore.

Whilst the date of the congress has been changed to 20 - 21 March 2004,our commitment to bring you the power and excitement of the first-ever AAAPC remains unchanged!

The theme of the congress is “Building a Cross Border Organization”. We believe that the alumni of AIESEC have a big role to play in the society that we live in. With the network and experiences and the values and principles that tie us together, we can shape the world with the ideals we had when we were in the universities. And we believe that this congress would be the catalyst to set the stage for the alumnus of AIESEC to achieve this.

The line-up of programmes for this congress is one of variety and excitement.

20 March (Day 1 - From Saturday afternoon)

・ Panel/Speaker and Group Discussion
Features a team of experienced professionals in their respective fields addressing cross border issues. A mix of international and local alumnus will facilitate the sessions. Group discussions will include setting up and strengthening the alumni chapters.

・ Gala Dinner

21 March (Day 2 - Sunday)
